Well I did better on yesterdays tourney (which ended up having a prize pool of $90,400)than my previous venture into the high limit tourney on Sunday.
I placed 69th out of 452. Unfortunately, this was 19 spots away from the money. I was plagued with bad hands all night and the only way I survived was when I would get a great hand such as KK (3 times) and AA (once) which would hold up in the "all in" scenarios. I lasted 3.5hrs and was eliminated on the first hand after the third break in the tourney. I was down to nearly no chips with blinds that were through the roof, so I pushed all in with K7 of hearts while in good position, hoping to steal some blinds (which would have doubled me) and was caught by the small blind who had AJ diamonds. His cards held.
So that was it for me. I was more comfortable at this table than on Sunday and feel that I should be able to at least start placing in the money once I can get back into one of these large prize pool tourney's. That of course requires me to win some more feeder events. Not an easy task, but not impossible either. Hopefully I can win another seat and get into this Sunday's event.
Oh, and a side note. I did last longer in this tourney than ALL of the pro's that were playing. :) This included Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke.

My morning in HK:
Wake up. Matt's playing in the tourny. Load up UB. He's not doing too bad. Studying, unless Matt tells me that he's playing a hand. He barely hangs on as he is currently ranked one of the last three in chips.
Lunch. Go make lunch. Tell Matt to yell if he plays a hand. I hear yelling "KK! KK!" I run from the kitchen... and... his table was redistributed! I'm staring at an empty table!! I hear his roomate laughing in the background at me as I desperately scramble to find his table and load it up, but he has won already. He has a lot of chips now.
After lunch. Time to do the dishes. They have a five min break. I come back, and Matt's seat has blackened. BOO.
Thats ok. To keep me entertained, Matt plays in four turbo tables where the blinds go up every two minutes. He places second in two of them, and first in another. WOO! Play more Matt, play more! He's poker'ed out. :(
I think I'm addicted to poker >_<
