Yowza, time for an update!

Holy cow, I can't believe how busy I've been over the past month. I have really dedicated myself to the company as we are severely short staffed in every department.

I've been working long weeks and long days to try and help out where I can. It takes quite the drain on me, so when I get home I pretty much just veg out for a few mins, eat something and then I'm off to bed. Barely time to do anything.

A couple of weeks ago I had a $134 cup of coffee. Grrr... I'm still mad about it. It was a Sunday and I felt like going for a drive. So I went to Starbucks first and then started driving out towards the airport. My company is building a new office and hangar structure across on the other side of the airport (we currently rent out our facilities) so I decided I'd head out to go and check on the progress. Well as I turn down this long straight road I notice a guy running out from the side of the road, past a tripod and continuing to the center of the road waving his hands at me. I quickly realized it was a freaking cop. He had seen me from a distance and proceeded to run past his radar gun, and he couldn't have looked at it for more than a couple of seconds as he kept running and made his way into the middle of the road. I was doing 71 in a 50. But the killer thing of it, was that everywhere else along that road the speedlimit is 60, so I didn't even think I was speeding. He didn't want my registration or anything, he just wanted my drivers license and then in a matter of 3 mins had given me my ticket. He then ran back out to the road and pulled over another guy. This was purely a quota fill day for them, as every time they walked back out onto the road they were pulling people over! It was ridiculous! Such a wide open and abandoned road that has a much lower than average speed limit, of course they knew they'd make money that day. Grrrr... I still haven't decided if I'm going to pay it or fight it.

Aside from that I really haven't been up to too much else, thanks mainly to my long hours at work.

I just received a package in the mail from my good buddy Ian, who I've managed to get hooked onto the OC! He had burned for me every single episode to date, and so today I'm not ashamed to say that I spent my morning and early afternoon watching the first 6 episodes of the OC from season 1. Ahhh... this show kicks ass, it's like my guilty little pleasure.

Anyways, I'm gonna get going now, I believe I hear the OC calling my name!

I'll try and post more frequently, but there's not too much action these days. Until next time!
